a free workshop, 13 & 14 June 2023

No one knows time-management systems like people who struggle to manage their time.

We’re the ones with Getting Things Done on our bookshelf and Pomodoro apps on our phone. We know about time-blocking and Asana and why you’re supposed to Eat That Frog. We have purchased all the planners and installed all the software and subscribed to way too many blogs.

What we still don’t know is why none of this has fucking worked.

Some of us don’t know why we create elaborate plans and beautiful schedules and colour-coded-everything and then just keep not doing any of it.

Some of us don’t know how we can spend an entire day bushwhacking through our to-do list and at the end still feel like we’ve not done nearly enough.

Some of us are both of these people depending on which day of the week it is.

And that’s because the real problem isn’t about knowing what to do or what tools or systems or software to use. It’s about how we understand our relationship to time.

Specifically, it’s about a deeply unhelpful way we’ve been taught to think about OURSELVES in relation to time, and how that plays out in everything related to scheduling, prioritizing and productivity.

In this special workshop, I’m going explain exactly what this view of ourselves is, why it’s everywhere in time-management advice, and how it derails our efforts to escape the constant struggle of endless lists, lost time and false starts.

Then I’ll share a radically different way to understand our relationship to time, which makes it possible to actually replace the endless wheel-spinning with mastery, clarity and momentum.

I call it learning to be a Time Lord. It’s a playful name on purpose — because this method actually creates a kind of lightness and zest totally missing from the usual time-management systems.

It’s true that you won’t actually be able to time-travel after this workshop — friends who are fans of Dr. Who have told me I should make this clear — but you will learn an approach to time so powerful it can feel like magic.

You’ll also get a practical guide and instructions to keep so you can get started adopting this new approach immediately, as well as a chance to ask questions and volunteer for live coaching on the call.

This workshop is ordinarily only available as part of my small-group programme, but I’m offering it for free for members of my list next week.
